Strange Cup Edge/Edge

These were fine. We never used tablecloths. The cutlery was sturdy and beautiful, the plates a bit more rustic, but I didn't like the cups at all. They had an oddly protruding lip rim that made drinking uncomfortable compared to other cups. It was also odd that the cutlery was segregated by type (all forks, all spoons, etc.) by using what appeared to be shrink wrap or something. It might have been compostable, but that was unclear.

Pros
  • From Urs to Earth: When you're having a picnic, party or special occasion; Ordinary utensils, with all their fragility and ability to wash dishes, may not make sense. But then again, the world is also filling up with plastic waste for a hilarious but fleeting moment. So for those who care, give Urthware a try! Natural, BPA-free, unbleached and recycled from sugar cane and corn. Not a single tree was damaged.

High quality, low environmental impact!

So happy I found her! I was looking for paper plates for a family reunion and was lucky enough to find this set along with everything else I was looking for! It was very convenient not having to buy cutlery, cups and even napkins separately. The tablecloths were a nice touch too! I was concerned that since they're eco-friendly they might be of lower quality than regular ones, but they actually turned out to be stronger and more durable than the plates I usually buy from Walmart! Never come…

Pros
  • Surprisingly solid: party plates made from bagasse (sugar cane wood pulp) are more durable than conventional, hard-wearing disposable plates. And if you've ever come across compostable cornstarch utensils, you already know that they're thicker and more durable than silver plastic utensils or wooden utensils! And you'll also love that they're perfectly safe to use in the microwave and freezer. Did someone say leftovers?

Beautiful birthday set!

What a great set! And at a great price! Bought these last minute for my son's birthday and they worked great. I was particularly impressed by the cutlery - I used to use eco-friendly bamboo or paper cutlery. They were either flat and uncomfortable to use or very fragile and would just fold up when in contact with hot food/drinks! This cutlery is at least as strong and sturdy as the most durable plastic cutlery I've ever used, except it's not bad for the planet! I really liked the box they came…

Pros
  • Complete Set: Many similar sets do not include spoons. But how to eat ice cream! And see, while spacer plates are great for kids, we thought you'd love the versatility of the real ones instead. This 194-piece set is designed for 24 people. Featuring: 10" disposable bagasse plates, 7" dessert plates, compostable cutlery (knives, forks, spoons), 12 oz compostable mugs, 48 napkins, and even compostable tablecloths!
