Does what it says on the tin

I've used it a few times. It worked the whole time with no problems. Been using it for about a month. I took it because the price is much lower.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Such a cute helper

Well made product. 2 sensitivity modes are very convenient. And the main plus for me is that this thing is loud and bright. The flashlight is also a very useful feature!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some problems

Didn't really know if it worked or not.

As a woman, I had hoped for something more understandable. The wiring I tried on was from a doorbell and I didn't really know if there was power there.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Doesn't work properly.

I think you get what you pay for. Whether the power was on or off was not visible through the panel. You had to remove the panel and touch the area to verify this. Not good enough for me.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Don't trust him with your life

Do not buy/use. Dangerously do not gain tension. I had it and used it for about 4 months. The voltage detector is not accurate. I have many false readings about the lack of voltage on this detector.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons

Detection seems weak.

I like this flashlight, it comes in handy when trying to look into the exhaust holes. Although the detection seems weak. It won't always pick up a live wire if you're on the neutral side rather than the hot side.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Secret

Not as sensitive as I would like, but functional

I bought this to replace a Harbor Freight AC detector that I liked, but the HFT is no longer on sale. I would buy more old ones! This works similarly but not as sensitively as OG. With this the detector has to press really hard against the hot conductor before it will activate and display sound and light emission indicating current. When activated it is accurate but tends to give false negatives unless I'm pressed directly against the correct side of the jacketed conductor.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Has drawbacks
