📢 US Toy Siren Whistle: Assorted Fun for All Ages Review

Bought a pack for a friend and kids and all I can say is they don't make them like they used to. The ones I had as a kid sounded just like the cartoons and what not, but most of them sound awful. Everything sounds shaky and strange. One didn't work at all. Some were semi-normal. Not at all what I expected.

Not like my 10 year old metal blades that still work well. I needed about 10 more, but I clearly didn't get what I was hoping for. It's like what you get in the low quality dollar stocks for $1. And it would probably be worth one if I was going to risk going to one now. If you can do without it, just wait until you find cheaper ones or just buy something else.

LOVE: My daughter loves these whistles. She has so much fun with them. DON'T LIKE: They're not very small, but small enough that I wouldn't leave a small child with them unsupervised. They whistle in both directions (inhale or exhale), so a child can accidentally suck one of these little whistles too far back. Also, while the volume varies depending on how much you inhale or exhale, the volume can be pretty loud and pretty annoying after a while, lol. So just a fair warning.

I bought a pack of these to give to my teammates so we can annoy my boss at work. You are very annoying. I strongly recommend you to buy these bags and give them to your friends' kids. Seriously, these are really fun little whistles. My boys still have them on their desks, so if one guy honks a little, everyone else picks up their horns and whistles until it starts to fade for a while. Then everything starts all over again. Good times for everyone as long as you're the one with the whistle!

I am only writing this review because the reviews I have read were very misleading. Overall they had good reviews and I felt the whistles were worth the price but some of them didn't work as well as others. So I bought 2. Thing is, they sound like a quiet little slider. whistles and doesn't sound like a siren at all. I was hoping to use it for a birthday party where the kids would pose as a rescue team with sirens. But they'd rather use their voices as sirens than those stupid whistles.

Maybe other people are expecting a steeper, more piercing sound. More specifically, they do not provide a noise decay period. At least not that much. Keep these and other noise devices like whistles handy and give to your friends' kids when they're in the car before the long drive home. For an even stronger effect, distribute sweets and sodas at the same time. Then enjoy the thought of the subsequent calls you are sure to receive from your parents telling you exactly how much they appreciate your gifts. Well the price was right, 12 pack for $5. The thing is, you tend to get what you pay for. If you've never owned any of these things, it might satisfy you.
