Do not buy this pan.

I bought this pan a few months ago and have made several pain de mie dishes with it. At first I liked the pan but I came to the conclusion that this is a prime example to buy in the US as it has to be of the best quality. NO. After about the 6th use, the rising loaf of pain de mie EXPLODES the ill-fitting top of the loaf pan and as you can see the flimsy mold material has actually buckled in the oven. The lips around the mounting lid are incredibly flimsy and not suitable for the pot. Luckily…

Better than average!

Okay, I've had this loaf pan in my kitchen for about 18 months and it's baked at least 20 loaves. This particular bread pan was chosen because of its size. Most of my recipes call for 2 pounds. loaf and after the final rise, the top of the loaf almost reaches the top of the mold. On standard 2lb pans, the slices come out a lot bigger than I'd like. Great shape and recipe

This very long pan is ideal for baking gluten free bread. I use a bread maker to bake bread. In the summer it's great because I don't have to heat the house with a stove. But I haven't been able to get a loaf of bread to support growth. I kept thinking I needed to change my recipe and I did, but nothing changed.
