(WON'T WORK WITH MagSafe CHARGER) PAY ATTENTION TO THE LIMITATION: It is a USB-C female to USB-A male adapter designed for charging or data transfer and it will NOT support video signal transmission. (Latest update: We have found that this adapter didn't work with MagSafe charger because of the incompatibility of charge protocols. A USB-C power adapter must be use for your new MagSafe charging pad.). Gives you the ability to connect USB-C peripherals to devices with USB-A ports built in. Charges MacBook Air, but slower.

I only bought this to charge my new 2018 Retina MacBook Air. I charged it with an external battery so when I'm on the go and away from electricity I can charge my laptop. It works well but the charging speed is slower than a standard AC wallbox.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • There are flaws

Good if you use USB-C for everything

I bought this when I'm not at home and only have access to USB-A chargers/devices without USB-C ports and mine device needs charging. These things are absolutely tiny, the only downside is that they only have 2.0 speeds. If you're buying them for virtually anything other than a coordinate conversion to a charger, there are plenty of 3.0 speed products out there.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Style 90

Very Slow Link

Elebase USB-C Female to USB Male Adapter - This product works, but only up to 44 MB/s No matter how it is connected to the USB-C port, it does not work at full speed my SSD, which should be at least 430 MB/s. I've attached some test results from several different brands. I'd suggest buying Onvian or Electop instead, as they run at full speed on my SSD if you flip it the right way, and run at 44MB/s if you don't plug it into the USB-C port properly - If If you show the description "480 Mbit/s" =

Pros
  • Allows you to connect USB-C peripherals to devices with built-in USB-A ports.
Cons
  • Some little things

There is one obvious downside.

And the thing is, they're not both purple. rzunimag. Honestly, I have no other complaints. I gifted a 2013 MacBook Air that would have been on its way to becoming a paperweight if these smart little modifiers hadn't been available. And if you're the type of person who thinks all technology is equal, you've underused USB devices, micro-USB or whatever else in the damn USB family. I don't use metaphors, but if you stick something and never move it, then yes. Anything can be great. But the more…

Pros
  • Small enough to fit in a USB port without overhanging your devices.
Cons
  • Big and chunky

This tiny thing does the job

I hate the fork that came with it. it's slow! So of course I spent more money to buy different sizes of fast charging cables and an outlet to make them work. Everything was going great until, at the age of 41, I decided to buy an adjustable bed for my master bedroom. The bed came with 4 USB plugs in the base. Well, of course I have to plug my phone in there now. instead of where he's been for the last 2 years. ok, great, i have a lot of cords. No I do not know. I don't have a suitable USB to…
