Great adapter for the money

Works exactly as expected. I've used the VGA and HDMI ports with no issues. The USB-C end is a bit awkward if you unplug it while it's plugged in, but to be honest I've had this issue with all my USB-C connections. Don't move your computer after you connect to the network and you won't have any problems. Considering Apple is charging $80 for the same device, this is a steal. Really solid performance, plug and play with the current Windows version. For the money you need it. I've hooked this up…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • So far so good

but I have to say that with the new

Hooray! I ordered several USB-C to HDMI and VGA cables but they didn't fit my new HP Envy laptop. (purchased in January 2018). HP couldn't help me. I read several forums and one person suggested this one and it worked. I will keep you updated if anything changes. But right now I'm excited because I have a big presentation this Friday and I need to use this adapter. I also read that it would be wiser to have a newer high speed HDMI cable. It worked with our old cable, but I have to say that it…

Liked with both HDMI and VGA ports

I bought this to use my MacBook Pro (2016, non-Touch Bar) for multi-class presentations. This has worked well for me so far. I use it 4 times a week for 1 hour 15 minute lectures. I use it half the time for HDMI connections and half the time for VGA connections. In my use (on the podium) the connectors are secure on all ends and I haven't had a connection issue in over two months. I regularly use my second USB-C port for the presentation controller, so I guess the USB-C end doesn't take up much

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Available in white only

Unreliable junk on computer cable adapters

I've tried three of these USB Type-C to VGA/HDMI adapters in the last 8 months. Two different brands including two of them - this one. I'm pretty sure that any that look the same must have been made in the same factory somewhere. They are short-lived and not worth your money or frustration. Extremely bad quality! All worked when they arrived, one lasted 6 months, the other two didn't last and 3 before the signal just stopped going through them and the displays stopped working. Cable Creation…

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Good but not great

Finally! The second display works with my new MacBook Pro!

Well I got my new laptop from work and a big upgrade (YAY). I was given a one year old (latest) MacBook Pro. So I get home and start setting this up at work from my home "office" when I find that it doesn't have a mini display port so I can't connect my second monitor (BOO). . I'm going online looking for this new and super expensive gadget I need to stay efficient (in case my boss reads this) while I'm at work. $60-$80 for an Apple cable. You've lost your mind! So I keep looking and looking…
