Get this when working on your VW/Porsche/Audi

The perfect tool for removing those connectors. I wish I had this before I break one ($$$). Buy this! (Who cares if it flakes off, it's not nail polish.)

Pros
  • Black plastic handle for easy grip
Cons
  • Weight

Better than breaking brittle plastic

Currently costs about 1/3 of a comparable Schwaben part and works just as well. This review is from a DIYer with 2 VWs and 1 Audi. I've used this for Touareg headlights, Jetta spark plugs and a few other things. If you've never used any of these before, that's a lot better than learning how to unlock VW-style ports. As a result, they burst immediately and are much less likely to break the old brittle plastic. However, note that there is no 100% guarantee that they will not break. Blame it on…

Pros
  • Saves time
Cons
  • thin

Poor design, poor workmanship

What a disappointment. Out of the bag, this tool flaked off the "chrome” plating. When a chrome tool starts to lose its chrome, it usually becomes sharp and can cut you. This "coating" is so thin it looks like foil paper. Also, the handle is so large that it doesn't fit most places in the engine compartment to disconnect a connector. It looks like whoever created this tool has never worked with a VAG engine. I put two stars because you can make it work with heavy mods. I had to use a wire wheel

Pros
  • Fits straight onto push and pull connectors
Cons
  • Dull packaging
