Under powered Crap - my new review

The switch function is no good. I ran this with 8 raspberry pi's for lab security. If you turn it off it does not recover the basic ethernet switching function. Unplug all the devices and add them back one at a time, after the 4th or 5th is added the link lights all freeze and no further contact with any devices. This still occurs if I power the Pi externally, so it is not a power budget problem but crappy firmware in the switch fabric. There is no documentation. Shouldn't need it for an…

Pros
  • Works great but will only power 4 of my access points.
Cons
  • No VLAN Support

Nice PoE+ switch with adapters for a 1U rack mount

I only wish this could be managed via a web interface. Many IT pros won't use it without this feature. This is a great switch for the home.

Pros
  • Auto-MDI/MDI-X function for any port
Cons
  • With 8 150W PoE ports, the switch consumes a lot of power which might result in high electricity bills for users at the end of the month
