Broke On First Use - Star Drive

I used 5/16" structural bolts in railroad ties and they broke very quickly. I was hoping that the screw would break before the impact drill bit, but it didn't.

Pros
  • Star Drive
Cons
  • Updates

Not for intensive use.

I bought this T55 bit specifically for removing bolts in the bumper. I went through 3 out of 5 before it broke. They were admittedly a bit rusty, but the part I replaced worked fine.

Not broken: Individual sockets

Used once. On a manual transmission Subaru drain plug, a 3 foot jumper with another 3 foot extension rod to pry the drain plug out, I expect over 100 lb-ft of torque and the bit hasn't failed. #Victory

Pros
  • Sockets and socket sets
Cons
  • Brief instructions

As described, works like a charm

Slip it onto my Porter Cable 20V Wireless Shock Cable and remove the inside of my 20 year old double cab truck in just minutes. Will buy again if I ever lose it. Very happy with the value for money.

Pros
  • Individual Drive Sockets
Cons
  • So-so
