The red leads have a deformed plastic grip and the metal tip of the probe does not screw in securely. Quality control shouldn't have let it out of the factory.

DO NOT buy this if you need a large banana fork. The product description with the picture must indicate a small 2mm banana fork. I wasted my money, I need a BIG 4mm banana fork. Most just put it further down in the full description. They don't make it clear with the picture right away to save people time and money.

These test leads look like old Simpson leads and are a perfect match for my Simpson VOM connectors. I bought 2 pairs and tested both for continuity. I'm guessing everyone who has posted reviews on gauges says these test leads fit, so here's confirmation for the Simpson 260 Series 6. I don't know about durability but they're decent and they work. The probe is threaded so alligator clips can be screwed onto it.

The banana plugs on these wires are not standard 4mm diameter banana plugs. they are smaller I noticed that straight away, as I've been a technician for 35 years. So I tried them on my Fluke 87 DMM and they didn't even come close. TIP: You can take a small screwdriver and stick it under each of the outer blades and pry the blades off the center pin of the banana fork so they fit snugly, but I don't think it helps in this case. Difference.

I took two stars for a good reason, firstly, these are shielded banana plugs. I wanted unshielded, like in the photo. Second, the internal resistance varies between 3-5 ohms. I cleaned the coating and the internal resistance dropped to 0.5 ohms. Sometimes I do very delicate work and I need close to zero on the ohms. The Fluke replacement kit I get is 0.1 ohms. I bought these to replace the leads on my old late 80's Fluke multimeter. I was very disappointed to find the forks are too small to fit on my counter. However, I can cut them off and replace them with the old ones. REALLY GOOD ARTICLE: Yes I got a nice inexpensive tester from Revain a few years ago. really a "cellar discount" item but it worked pretty well but unfortunately the test leads, while acceptable, just didn't hold up.
