Bought to drill a hole in an aluminum plate. It worked well. Later I used it to widen some holes in a steel plate. It probably wasn't meant to be used on steel, but it eventually did. Even if he's not in top form.

I bought this for my RGB LED pixel installation project. I have drilled over 2000 channel holes. The first 200 were made of U-steel and the remaining 1800+ were made of PVC. I didn't use increments other than going through the material in layers. I had a lot fewer burrs with it than with a standard 12mm steel drill bit. PVC is highly dependent on drilling speed. Overall I was satisfied and would buy it again if I had to do a similar project.

I bought this step drill to drill existing holes up to 10mm into the bottom of my Rav4 to install a factory TRD front skid plate. The steel was about 1/8 inch thick. For a hole it worked fine. After that, the drill became very dull and stopped working. I tried to keep the drill bit RPM low and used enough force to avoid premature bit burnout. Still failed. Not recommended for steel or harder materials. Soft materials should work well.
