Description of Vacuum Brazed Diamond Porcelain Ceramic

Use this bit to make holes in a wide range of applications from hard porcelain tile, ceramic tile, glass, marble, granite, stone, slate, limestone, terrazzo, quartz, stainless steel sinks, glass jars and anything similar. Made with GE Super-Abrasive vacuum brazed diamond coating with a high-speed steel core these professional grade bits last 20-30 times longer than conventional lower-quality plated bits. Expect a long tool life and excellent performance, making for a clean and accurate hole for a professional-grade job. Vented side opening allows user to spray water on the drilling surface. Bits may be used wet or dry. However, spraying water on the drilling surface helps keep the bit cool and reduces friction, producing a better result. Size: 3/16" X 3/8" Shank. ~1" Barrel length. Use with low RPM variable speed drills for best results. (300-500 rpm). Because this is a top-quality product it is backed with a 100% lifetime warranty that also includes free return shipping. If it ever breaks, warps, cracks or shows any sign of a material defect (being used for its intended purpose), or if the bond between the diamond segment and the steel core becomes separated at any time, it will be replaced free of charge! (Look for items "Sold By Delta Diamond Products, Inc").

Disappointing Results with this Hole Saw

When I tried this product, it took an excessive amount of time to make a single hole and left a rough edge on the porcelain tile. The only good thing about it was the diamond coating, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the poor performance..

Pros
  • Diamond coating
Cons
  • Slow and leaves rough edges.

Efficient Ceramic Cutting Solution

This hole saw is a game changer! Industrial and Scientific users can rejoice at the efficiency and precision of this diamond-coated tool. It cuts through porcelain and ceramic with ease, making it a top choice for any cutting task. The vacuum brazed design ensures the diamond coating is well-secured, giving it a longer lifespan compared to other saws ON the market. While it may be a bit pricier the results are worth the investment. .

Pros
  • Efficient, precise cutting
Cons
  • Slightly expensive

They work but power tool parts and accessories

Had to drill 34 holes in 3/4 inch porcelain stoneware for the pool frame. These drills averaged 7 holes per drill and 8 minutes of rotation. The Bosch diamond core bit worked an average of 6 minutes per hole and went up to 8 holes before ROP slowed down.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
