Full and complete garbage!

This fan didn't even arrive installed in a plastic case to snap into, but in this case the solder joints of SMALL power wires (2 separate red/black wires instead of a connected pair) look very good like Chinese junk!) If I saw what was sent to me on Ebay I would expect it to cost around $9.99 and it doesn't even cost that much! thermal switch. It's attached with a bead of hot glue and its wires aren't even shielded. Just save your money. You can assemble a MUCH better setup yourself by buying a

One of the best camper fridge mods!

I saw the installation in a YouTube video and decided to give it a try! Camper fridges are not known for doing their job well. They're reliable, but they don't cool down quickly, and things really have to go well for them to work as planned. One of the biggest improvements you can make is to increase the airflow behind the fridge so hot air is pulled out faster. It has its own thermostat so it only turns on when needed. It's amazingly quiet. But best of all, it makes the fridge work very…

The fan looks decent but I'm disappointed that it doesn't have all the fixings other than the wall mount. (The photo shows everything that was in the package) No metal straps, floor or vent mount. The package appeared to be secured with a staple and it came alone in an envelope like package and nothing fell out. I was going to order a few more but now I'm doubting it. The temperature switch is attached with large blobs of hot glue or silicone, which by my standards seems to have been hasty and…

A must for retractable campers in hot climates.

Bought this for my 2011 temporary Coleman Sun Valley camper with a Dometic 2193 refrigerator and am very happy with it, especially in South Texas where the heat is unbearable most of the year. Not sure if Valterra changed the model here, but a very helpful previous review describing how to turn on the thermal switch was not like mine. Mine has the thermal switch mounted inside the fan so it was just a matter of installing the fan, blowing the top vent in the right place in terms of heat…

The fan works great living in the desert if it can hit 115+ this fan makes all the difference between being able to cool down my RV fridge before a trip and just not being able to in the summer with no fan in my fridge on wheels, the temp only dropped to 55-60 degrees. The fans are not a problem, reaching 30. Since I installed the fan at the top of the cooling coils, I had to remove the fridge vent cover and reseal the whole thing when reinstalling the cover. Because of this I decided to…

Great for my needs as a city tourist

I travel around town a lot in my Ford Ranger. As a camper, I use an aluminum box with a low roof. Anyone who has spent even minimal time under the metal body of an RV knows how hot it can get in a short amount of time. To solve this problem, I recently insulated the body with styrofoam and thin plywood and glued a thin carpet for the headliner. But physics cannot be ignored. A small, isolated metal enclosure is an oven. I have working windows that I can open and this helps some. But the heat…

  • Not bad

I've been trying to get my van cooler to cool better for a long time and have replaced almost everything but the box. This fan greatly improved 4-5 degrees after installing in the top vent. When it hit 90-100, my device just wasn't working well and I was concerned about food safety when traveling. My Kountry Star fridge has never cooled as well as previous campers and I found the problem was poor upward airflow. There are a few videos online showing the installation, but the last fan now has a…

Excellent temperature improvement, works great.

This thing really works to cool an RV fridge. Without a fan, the refrigerator depends on airflow over the coils by convection. This works well in cooler weather, but in hot weather not enough air flows through the coils to prevent the fridge from overheating. I read somewhere that some RV manufacturers put fans on the fridge because of this problem. In any case, the quality is reasonable. When I unpacked the fan, the motor popped out of its bracket and I had a hard time putting the motor back…
