They're not the best but for the price and my low clogging level I won't complain. They did not "grab" clumps of hair, but pulled out small (the largest was 0.5 cm) clumps of debris. A few hooks also broke, but it still worked. Using this snake in addition to boiling water now drains my slow drain pool at normal speed again. I would recommend for the price.

Update: The seller was kind enough to refund our purchase so I gave another star for the friendly and efficient customer service :) I had two breaks - one when trying to use it , and one when my husband did. But once we finally have one that doesn't break our drain is working great now so I guess that's the point lol so I guess just be careful with it and it will do a really good job of removing all that dirt !

My tub wasn't draining properly so I bought this 5 pack so I didn't have to use Drano (or any other cleaner). It is very easy to use, just push the drain and pull it back. The dirt the snake pulled out looked very gross and unless you want to sit there and scrub it all back these are really disposable. (I ended up using 2 for a drain.) My tub now drains perfectly and I have lines left in case it happens again!

Vastar 5 Pack Drain Snake Hair Drain Clog Remover is a simple product but if your drain is clogged it will certainly get the job done. There is nothing else in it. Our shower still had up to four inches of water at the end of a regular shower, but this little guy did the job. The drainage is now working at full speed again. Although it wasn't as hard as I expected, it still worked well. Difficult to wash off after use, but good thing there are five packs!

I struggled with Drano every 6-8 weeks to get my shower draining. The drain has a metal lid with tiny squares to let the water through, but I didn't want to mess with removing it. These snakes have done their job. I have used a drain cleaner, plunger and plastic snake to clean the bathroom sink in the past with no success.
