Great way to protect your dog.

These harness leashes are great for attaching your dog's harness or collar. I prefer using a harness with them, although they have a built in strain relief bungee to lessen the effects of a sudden impact or stop. Great product and easy to use by simply inserting into your existing seat belt holder.

Easy to use and great security feature.

They work great to keep our dog from moving around the whole car while driving. We put a vest on him and fasten it to him. Protects against falling over the seat during a sudden stop. It also keeps him from jumping out when the door is open. The length of the strap allows him to stand and move in a comfortable position. We have it in every car.

Bad dog protection.

This was a durable product but it doesn't do what it's supposed to do: protect the dog. It only fits on one of my three rear seat belts (the middle one) and doesn't fit the front at all. Since it is elastic, the dog can still easily climb onto the front seat. It must not be tightened to prevent the dog from climbing onto the front seat. If I'd stopped abruptly, the dog would still have crashed into the seat back or straight into the windshield.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No performance

Rescued my dog in just a week.

We only used them a few days ago and were in a car accident. The pup flew away after we were rear-ended into our truck by a car traveling at about 50 miles per hour. I went to the hospital for hitting my head hard but I saw our puppy fly and then the harness stopped him. The Highway Patrol asked my son if the dog was okay, and luckily he was. I strongly encourage people to use them and if we didn't he would surely get seriously hurt.

Works well in my 2002 Subaru Outback back seat.

I installed this on my 2002 Subaru Outback. He stepped straight into the seat belt slot in the back seat. I would say it would be great if the harness could be shortened a bit more as my dog can still rest his head on my shoulder when I am in the driver's seat. But the 2002 Subaru is a lot smaller than most modern cars! I have yet to try another cable in the cockpit of a 2002 Ford F350. I suspect the dog won't get to me that easily in this car. :-D

Broke on first use

This is a very simple product. You attach one end to the dog's collar or harness and the other end goes into the belt buckle. However, it broke on the first use! My dog just rolled over in the passenger seat and as she lay down I grabbed the harness to make sure it wasn't putting too much strain on her collar and it broke completely! Now my dog is 50 pounds but he has not pulled the seat belt. I can see where the metal joins and there seems to be so little metal that I wonder if it will really…

Must have for dog owners!

I have absolutely no idea where I would be without this thing. I have a 2015 Toyota Camry so I was a little apprehensive about this setup based on some of the other reviews, but it fits great. My dog loves to sit on someone's lap when we're in the car, but so does the driver. That's great because he can still move from behind, but he's also a lot more secure than in front and definitely a lot more secure than on someone's lap. The only thing I don't like is that when I pull it very tight, it at

Definitely worth buying! I have a 5 month old Border Collie who loves jumping from the back seat to the front. Then he started driving. It was getting very dangerous so I looked for a seat belt that would restrain her and decided to give it a try. It definitely kept her in the back seat, she was also very strong and tried so hard to get in the front seat but it wouldn't budge, after about 20+ minutes she finally stopped struggling and lay down the rest of the way there. .UPDATE 12/16/2019After…
