VEC Electronics Spectra SP VC Transcription Review

this is amazing! lightweight and the sound is amazing. I will use them when listening to my iPhone and also when dictating.

Some people have smaller ears and I'm one of them. They start killing my ears after a few hours and I type many hours a day. But the concept is amazing and I like them better than the headset on my head.

I use it four or five days a week for transcription. This is very good, the volume control and the ability to switch between stereo and mono really help with the varying audio quality of the interview. More comfortable than on-ear headphones, and I hardly put them in my ears, you don't have to plug them in all the way. Will definitely buy these again!

I have a severe hearing loss. Hearing aids are useful, but they are not substitutes, they are less good substitutes. I use these headphones with a pocket speaker also sold by Revain which works very well in movies and lectures. It would be nice if the pocket speaker was stereo and the volume could be adjusted for each ear.

I've been a court correspondent since 1992 and know my way around good transcription headphones. My old set stopped working and the reviews for this one were good so I gave it a try. I was very disappointed with the purity and clarity of the sound. It was like listening to a 1950's transistor radio - squeaky, muffled, lots of hissing etc. So I brought them back. Life is too short to get tired trying to hear/understand what people are saying. I have no time for that.

Excellent headphones, very reliable and good sound for transcription. I bought this set from another company and had to return it twice as the sound was gone. Don't worry about that with Spectra. Just make sure you understand how short the cord is.
