If I ordered an Xbox I would be very upset if they sent me a large box of transistors and resistors. IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION, SPECIFY THAT THIS IS A KIT THAT REQUIRES SOLDERING. Most people don't have this ability. After installation, however, it worked perfectly.

A fun project. I bought 5 believing my rusty soldering skills would result in poor build performance. It was a smart move as only one of the two channels worked on one of the devices. I use this when I need to cannibalize a part.

Easy assembly. It takes a little patience and time, but it's easy once you get started. Does exactly as advertised. For Harmony users, please read the comment above for what device can be programmed into the Harmony remote without having to buy and assemble the remote and then program it!

It took me about 20 minutes to put the kit together and about 2 hours to figure out what was wrong. Only one relay worked. After checking everything, I decided to check the obvious - one of the 560 ohm resistors (green, blue, brown) was actually a 1.6 MΩ resistor (brown, blue, green). 2800X resistance will definitely prevent the relay from tripping. I noticed another review that said only one relay was working - I assume that person had the same issue.

This is a good product that works as advertised. One review states that Harmony already knows the codes for it. My experience shows that this is not the case. You need a Velleman MK162 key fob to teach your Harmony the IR code. This and the keychain are both sets. Very simple buildings. What they don't tell you is that the blue connectors, which are three separate pieces, can be attached together to become a 6 position strip. If you try to install them individually, they won't fit.
