It has a fatal flaw. Suitable for camera and photo

I bought this to replace another one I had for about 5 or 6 years. It's time to replace it. The design of this material was good, but it had a fatal flaw. The rubber band underneath that the camera sits on has fallen off. I tried several times to reattach it, but it just fell off again. At some point I could no longer find this rubber. I quickly realized that the mount is useless without it. I couldn't screw the camera in and screw it all the way onto the block. This particular fly was very…

A smelly flash mount makes it easier to record videos.

Excellent product for the most part Good first of all. It works with my camera (below) and microphone (above). The thumbscrew on the bottom is large and easy to tighten. The clip above also works, although my mic popped out when inserting it. But it stayed when I tried to connect it a second time. like a strange chemical and it's not a faint smell. I've had it for 10 days now and the smell is still strong. If you can get rid of the smell (I'm still getting used to it) then this is a great…

great investment for those looking to improve their flash photos

I bought this on the 22nd December and opted for 2 day shipping (as I'm a Prime member) and I was worried this wasn't the Fall is coming to my house for my family's Christmas party, but this morning he got there about 2 hours early. It requires no assembly to build, but it did take me a few minutes to set everything up properly. It works great out of the box, looks solid and definitely makes flash photography more efficient and consistent, which is what I've been looking for in a flash mount…

Poor design, poor quality

I've used this mount about 10 times and on the 4th or 5th time a piece of rubber that the camera sits on came off. I have to re-stick it every time I use it and even then it slips off when I take it off. To top it off, when I press the flash into place, the "glue" lands on my hands and makes a gooey mess. ALSO: In order for the flash to rotate above the camera, you must mount it with the handle on the right side of the mount, which effectively blocks the shutter button. I flipped it the other…

Better than I expected

So I thought it was very cheap before I received it, I was wrong, it's much stiffer and stronger than I expected, all attaches very securely and the multiple attachment points are very handy, although I mostly use the same ones, other options are always good. I need to remove my wireless trigger so I'm just going to use it without the battery grip because I'm not going to take a hot shoe cable, I'm sticking with my wireless. my speedlite flash, i don't feel i have to worry about it falling off…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Better than I expected

So I thought it was very cheap before I got it. I was wrong, it's a lot stiffer and stronger than I expected. All fasteners are very secure and multiple attachment points are very good, although I mostly use the same one, other options are always good. This is perfect for my D800 and my Yongnuo YN622 radio trigger above, this is also for my battery grip but I wish I had to remove the radio trigger so I can just use it without the battery grip because I'm not going to take a hot shoe cable, I'll

Good value but light weight for large rigs

This works as intended and is an economical solution if you need a flash mount. I find that the padding on the handle is not enough and would rather use thicker and denser foam here. I'm also not a fan of the shoe clip mount and prefer the standard shoe glide mount. To be honest I'm trying to use this with a Canon 1DX camera and a 580EX flash. With my lens, that's about 6 pounds of camera and glass. This mount is probably too light for this setup. The camera tends to rotate around the mounting…
