This is green, not smoky (grey/brown). The packaging says smoke. Considered questions before ordering again. Color, and answers assured it was taupe, not green. It also arrived broken. I called about both and am waiting for a replacement - let's say taupe - we'll see.

Seller gives the impression that this is a universal fit but there are several different types of fittings for them and this will NOT work for some RV's. Sellers must provide a list of vans that this unit will fit into, or at least provide a direct photo of the installation itself so as not to waste our time.

Found the vent line name on the original and it was the exact replacement part. The slider differed from all other universal spare parts. Watch a YouTube video on how to loosen the hinges and install the new part. Very happy with this product. My old one was celebrated so I hope it's not common with this type of plastic.

They match our 2009 Keystone Hideout perfectly. One of our bedspreads was rotting so we replaced all 3 (bedroom, bathroom and top bunk). Installation was difficult at first, but I quickly became a pro. You have to unscrew everything from the inside first and then go to the roof to replace the cover. They changed the lighting in the van as the odd covers were white. I call it my moonlight because it gives a blue tint.

This cap is molded with a part number. If I had climbed onto the roof before ordering the "Universal" cover, I would have noticed the number BVD0449 on my damaged original cover. If your cap has this part number it will fit. I had to return my first purchase and this one fits perfectly. It's also a good idea to check the condition of the vinyl gasket around the top of the vent where the metal frame meets the vent cover.

Installation was a bit of a hassle, but that's only because I had to disassemble most of the inside of the vent just to get access to the slider mount for the opener rod, and it's not the fault of those replacements. ventilation covers. After doing this I realized I should have ordered a replacement bezel and screen parts as well as cycling the screen on and off showed how brittle the screen mounting fingers had become and the screen itself was a bit brittle all from exposure from sun.

The product came earlier than expected. It's not the most durable material and the sun will eventually dry it out, but hey, it is what it is and the cost isn't too high so it's not a big deal.
