Venum Boxing Gloves Contender 2 0 Review

My son (13) is very happy with them. He goes to boxing lessons twice a week and every day he hits the punching bag that we have in the basement. They have held up well so far.

I use these gloves for kickboxing and love them. It's like my third pair of Venom gloves and by far my favorite. They weigh 16 ounces and you can feel the difference in weight.

I have 12oz Everlast gloves that have been used and abused. When I first tried Venum 16oz gloves I was blown away! The cushion and padding in the gloves was unlike anything else. It was like hitting my hands with pillows. I was also impressed by the quality of the gloves.

I love the weight and fit of the glove but after first use the material started to peel off the thumb seam. Rating update: After a month and a half of use, the inner padding/foam has completely come off and I can no longer use the glove. Please note that I only do light kickboxing. I have also tried contacting Venum directly as Revain's replacement/return window has expired for a week and they have not found a solution yet.

I bought the 16 oz gloves and they look good but I think they are a bit small. I don't even have big hands. I'm a 5'7" girl and my left hand hurts a lot because the glove seems to stretch my thumb out and back. I don't have to keep trying to adjust the glove to prevent this. God. ban someone with big hands from using this. That's the only reason I'm giving it a star.
