Strong and rigid on mounting stands

The structural parts of this clamp are made of steel. Has soft handles. Once installed it feels solid and once the bike is in place it feels solid. Since I didn't want to make 4 holes in my wood workbench, I installed it on a 30" piece of 2 x 6. I clamped the 2 x 6 to the bench and then drilled a 1/4 hole at the other end through both the 2 x 6 as well as the bench I then used a 1/4 long screw to attach the 2 x 6 to the bench.

Perfect for my occasional needs. Firm, strong grip.

I didn't want to spend money on a free standing bike stand that is as stable as this unit is mounted on the bar height counter. With the base mounted to the edge of the rack, bikes are held securely and far enough away to be able to manually pedal while shifting is adjusted. When I'm not using it, I rotate my arm backwards 180 degrees to sit on the counter. If desired, it could also be easily removed from the base and stored.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Difficult to say

No instructions but not required. I set it to 2x12 and attached it to a moveable bench - it works great with all the bikes I've tried. Bike style skewers are great and will hold up in whatever position you put them in. This is a good performing unit and I expect it to last for many years. It's great that you don't have to go to the floor and make the necessary bends to work with switches and such. Just stand there and that's it. Should have bought this many years ago. I would highly recommend…

Fits my heavy e-bikes

I borrowed an idea from another reviewer to bolt this to a 2x4 bar. I attach a 2 x 4 to my desk and it is very strong. Storage is compact and fits in a tool box. I have a regular weight Trek hybrid bike and 2 electric bikes around 50 pounds with no battery. All 3 bikes work fine. On a men's bike, the clamp holds either the crossbar (shock) or the seatpost. For a stepped assembly, I attach to the booster seat. The device is adjustable up, down, left, right, clockwise, inward, outward. The handle

Great bike stand/workbench clamp!

This product is perfect for what I need. I repair and maintain bikes myself and am tired of stooping or working with the bike upside down. So I attached it to a workbench in the garage with a few screws and now I can stand or sit while I work on the bikes! My only issue with having one is that there is some movement even when everything is at its max length. Definitely not the end of the world. Save some money and buy this instead of the famous branded alternative. It's a little over half the…

Easy to install, flexible, secure and comfortable Soft sponges

Had a "racing" portable work stand that worked well but took up a lot of space around it and caused problems in the garage to bypass it. I had planned a permanent bench, but I was too lazy and didn't do it. Now I wish I had bought it MUCH sooner. Here's what I like:* Takes up about 25% of the space on my floor stand. It's easier to move and work without colliding with anything.* The jaws are firm and soft. I like that it doesn't put a lot of pressure on the tubes yet still provides enough…

  • Could have chosen a newer model

Very durable and easy to use

I almost bought a repair stand from another company that was cheaper and orange then I saw it for twice the price but still very cheap considering that he's decent the standalone device has long run from $130 to the door. How can you not love bike skewers! To be honest, I was hooked the moment I saw them. After receiving this, I installed it on a work cabinet in the shop. Personally, I used two pieces of 3/16 5051 aluminum measuring about 6" x 4" or so on the top and bottom of the case for more

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

Thoughtful design and good workmanship

This bike repair stand exceeds my high expectations. I bought this repair stand a few days ago and it arrived without a single page of documentation but it wasn't necessary other than maybe an exploded view with the name and part numbers. After ascertaining that the four pre-drilled holes in the base plate (mounting flange) were a quarter inch in diameter, and then after a quick trip to the local hardware store for screws, lock washers and nuts, I quickly and easily installed the base plate on…
