Doesn't stand and prints fine

Also works great with Xbox360 (I've used 4x and Img Burn but ymmv). Nothing more to say. I use 37mm for the inner diameter and 188mm for the outer diameter (when printing) which in my Epson Print CD application with my Epson Artisan 725 Color leaves the least amount of white streaking (to avoid mixing). Inkjet MFP (C11CA74201).

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Great - no booth created yet!

If the DVD you're burning is longer than an hour, you really need to use those big 8.5GB discs. While Verbatim is a little more expensive than some of the competition, I haven't had a single issue with them, while reviewers of other similar (and cheaper) products have complained of a lot of crashes. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Unreliable

Best Electronics

Although these DL drives are a bit more expensive than the others, this is the only brand I have had any luck with. There are no coasters from 40 yet. And Plextor drives with updated firmware can burn them at 6x, still no problem. I tried Ritek, both under the Ritek brand and under the Memorex brand. Ritex is ok but only burns at 2.4 and I've had at least one severe burn. The Riteks branded Memorex were terrible, with only about 20% yield on three different burners, including the Memorex DVD…

Verbatim are the best DL discs available!

They work great as have other Verbatim discs I've used, DL and others. These are printed directly onto the surface of the disc itself, although I haven't tried it. I just wanted a DL drive that worked. No other brand I've tried works. I don't usually buy printable discs, but regular silver top Verbatim. No difference in quality, both are excellent but if you don't print on them you can use a regular surface. They have a plain white finish, work well with a printer, and I figured they would work

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

  • Anything I can add

The quality of Verbatim is always amazing.

These discs look like the Verbatim 4.7GB white inkjet DVD-R and DVD+R discs that I have used for many years. These 8.5GB drives are good, if a bit pricey in comparison. Of course, the 20Pk spindle is a very good deal compared to most DL drives on the market. The quality is excellent and I haven't had a single wrong recording or scrap in this bundle of 3 different DVD recorders. I use the Epson Stylus Photo RX680 All-in-One to print to it in photo quality every time. Footage I capture when the…

Good Media; NOT designed to print on the hub

These media are good for burning DL discs in various DL recorders, mainly 2.4x or 4x speed. Copies work with several well-established prefixes. Like ALL DL discs TOO EXPENSIVE! This product tends to burn well, with a 4 out of 50 coasters. If you MUST use DL drives, that's fine. The white surface accepts ink better than comparable Ridata discs, which are slightly cheaper but print with significantly less vibrant colors.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Appearance

Good Discs for Testing Issues

These aren't my favorite discs for regular output, but if I'm having trouble burning a particular AVCHD or high-volume DVD, I can use them to upgrade the media I use testing. Experience tells me that DVD+DL discs are the most problematic when it comes to complex recordings. These discs give me an audit trail to determine if my video editing, recording drive, or media is faulty. I rarely get cradles with Verbatim 95123 drives, but when I do I usually know to look elsewhere for the problem. 98319

The printing surface looks quite good.

Verbatim is my standard for optical media so I mostly bought it because I had luck with the Verbatim CD-R, all the tests I read showed very good reliability of their CD -R and when researching which factories they use to make their CD-Rs they tend to stick with the same factory which means you can actually predict which manufacturer you are actually sourcing the media from. As for other brands (Ritek springs to mind), even if you buy the same brand and product number every time, you can have…

Excellent product, reliable and good AZO dyes. No better product

There are several suppliers of blank media but only one is reliable and uses AZO dyes for excellent, long-lasting results. These dual layer discs are particularly important when purchased through Verbatim as disc errors are more likely to occur. They are highly recommended for home standalone DVD recorders (not PCs) due to their low rotation speed (2.4X) required for standalone DVD recorders. The only thing that has struck me is that they are made in Singapore not Taiwan, but so far there have…
