Excellent quality! I got this because of the many caves and its shielding. For the price I can't beat it. I live in Washington state so I needed water protection and that's outside as I ran my own wire for a two story house many of which run under the house and in the attic leading to the upstairs light switch. Switches on each floor. also ran a new cable from the mast to my modem and now there is no signal loss, it is shielded with foil, plastic and cloth over the outer UV jacket. And it has a

Great for outdoor use

I ran a Cat6 cable from the basement to the top floor and couldn't get it through the house; I needed something to walk up the slope. Other online electronics stores were charging ridiculous prices so I found this one and bought it. The price was reasonable and it is designed for outdoor use including direct burial and UV protection. I bought this and then sold the rest to a colleague who wanted to run wired ethernet in his "barn" (actually a man cave) that he had dug in to run. I've been using

There were some bad creases as the shielded outer core is soft

this product works the only issue I had when working at 250ft was some bad creases as the shielded outer core is soft , but it works fine that way. The wires are 23 gauge. It takes a little effort to terminate them with special grounded, shielded RJ45 connectors, but once you get the hang of it, it's a good anti-interference cable is immune, but I still ran it through the surge protector with a clean network cable on input and output. You have to protect the electronics all the more.

  • Special
Cons
  • For seniors

Get big cable plugs too

Outer sheath flexes easier than expected, I'm not sure if it's still waterproof in those sections but the inner cable is intact. Overall I'm glad I chose this brand and the forks on offer end up being what other reviewers have mentioned.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to tell

but flexible enough to work in fairly tight tensions

Stiff enough to almost be pushed through the canal but flexible enough to work in fairly tight tensions. Make sure your ends are big enough for the diameter of this cable. And use plenty of train lube if you plan on making tight turns in the line.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Mediocre

Connectors don't mate

I do Category 6 wiring for a living. The connectors I've used for years don't mate with this cable. (It's like the individual wires have thicker insulation.) Before anyone tells me to use specific connectors, I just want to point out that Category 6 connectors must mate with Category 6 cables. They standardize these things so you don't have to worry about them.

Pros
  • Many mate
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great but get the right RJ45 connectors

Great product but make sure to get the right RJ45 connectors. EZ doesn't work and it must be a two piece Cat6/Cat6A connector.

  • Always liked
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Excellent quality cable. Ideal for long outdoor runs.

First of all, this is a quality cable. Excellent build quality and excellent performance. I made several long runs of about 200 feet through the buried PVC pipe. It was easily pulled out with the help of a metal fish tape. However, pulling 200 feet with a 180 degree turn was a beast! In any case, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that this cable be terminated with a punch or trapezoid. I have used several CAT6a Keystones which worked great. I also made a few connections to some wireless POE bridge access…

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
