I watched the installation video because I was installing it on a new car. It fitted perfectly and seems to have helped a little with the musty smell in the car.

I've always been a big fan of reducing waste, so having a washable filter in my car (assuming you actually clean it) is hell for me, yes! Read the instructions, insert the suction cup, clean it and enjoy the fact that you won't have to buy another one.

Fits perfectly on my 2013 Ford Taurus SHO - doesn't seem like the 'right way' as the filter is very solidly built and seems to fit in every direction (there are no indicators on this either) - normally the airflow should be directed against a support device, but in this case the filter seems to be equally stable in all directions.

Great filter, works very well. The only caveat I would give is if you have a newer Ford Taurus. It's easy to ruin the piston plug on the left side of the glove box. You will need to lift it up and out of the slot on the left side of the glove box door. Instead, I made the mistake of pulling on it and breaking it a bit.

I bought a used car and changed the cabin filter at the first service. I pried open the panel behind the glove box and pulled out the equivalent of a used bar napkin in complete disbelief. My air is filtered through what looks like a dirty cocktail napkin. After switching to K&N, my air is clean and I can be sure that pine needles and acorn tips are no longer getting into my fan.
