💡 Enhance Connectivity with Viair 90005 Tank Port Fittings Kit Review

Matches my 1 gallon Viair perfectly. Exactly what I needed to complete the installation. Although these fittings came with a reddish-brown sealant around the threads, Viair still recommended using an extra coat of thread compound for installation.

The perfect replacement part for my Viair 150 PSI onboard compressor system. I notice that when I start my truck in the morning my supercharger is charging and it shouldn't be. They fit my 2.5G tank perfectly. Makes planning what you use your I/Os easier. You should really add them to the tank and only add a few bucks to the price. It'll get easier, that's for sure. But the welds are even, there are no leaks. It's worth the extra cost compared to a normal larger tank with questionable quality assurance.

Pre-plated brass fitting with thread seal. The 1/4" tube fitting is a compression fitting (place the nut on the tube, slide the tube onto the barb fitting, and then tighten the nut, which presses the tube against the rivet fitting). I've never used any of these fittings, I've used push-on or the compression fittings. It's in an area where it doesn't move much, so it should be fine, we'll see. If not I will update. The tank drain works well and is easy. The trick is not to overtighten.

My porter cable compressor faucet broke without much use. It was a thumbscrew that required a lot of torque to turn. A direct replacement was available at the same price as this kit. This one is much easier to rotate, but easier to "catch" the line. Put other parts in my random box of 1/4 NPT fittings where they will probably live forever.
