I bought it for my friend. Every man and woman should have it. We've installed it under the bed of a truck and it's so easy to use, it's perfect for driving into the desert and bleeding the clutch and 10 minutes later your tires can be full again. You don't have to wait to start filling either. Too tired to fill your 20 foot unicorn floats on the river with your breath? Now you don't have to! Even use your air tools. Buy this, you will need it.

Air on board is excellent

I have a GMC, there is no space in the cabin to install a bracket with a sensor and a switch. I installed a flat rocker switch that you can't break with your knee. Haven't decided where to install the pressure gauge yet? The tank is mounted on the bed of a truck to prevent road salt from destroying it. Over time I will make a box to close the tank and improve the look. The compressor is mounted in the frame member directly behind the transfer case. Should remain largely dry and protected fromโ€ฆ

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Installed on my 2014 Wrangler Unlimited Sport and I love it. Only tires are 295/70r17 so inflation times aren't too bad. I needed a few extra parts to complete the installation. Note that while this shows the beat will be, it doesn't mean there isn't enough CFM. I used a 3/8" OD hose from the tank to the manifold instead of the 1/4" OD hose that came with it. Also, the hose is quite difficult to maneuver, you might want to use a hair dryer to detach it. A great system will likely buy anotherโ€ฆ

"Kit " Incomplete

I ordered this "Kit" P/N 10007 and while I am pleased with the quality of the individual parts, the "Kit" does not include enough connectors/hardware to connect the compressor to the tank unless the tank is not within 12 inches of the compressor. ViAir seems to assume that people don't assemble their tank and compressor separately and only supply a bare minimum of parts for installation, as opposed to true "one stop" kits that offer more than many different installation options is needed . Excellent kit. Good quality compressor.

This is the second set I have installed on one of my trucks. The first one is over 13 years old and still works great. This was on a 2020 4-door Chevrolet 2500HD LTZ with a long bed due to airbags, horn and on-board air supply. I used a ViAir compressor mount and made my own 1/8" x 1" flat bar mounts for the 2.5 gallon tank. It was a tight fit along the length but worked very well. I added a 1/2" plug to the air tank for a large air horn and found the steel tank wall to be nice and thick andโ€ฆ

Great product suitable for air compressors and blowers

They really do give you everything you need. You may end up needing a few more brass fittings, which is what I did but went the other way. Instead of using it on a truck, I installed it on my Jeep to vent the tires after the trail. The build quality of everything is great - I couldn't find anywhere that they skimp. Get a good idea of where things are going and make sure it fits. Make sure not to kink the air line as you will create a leak. It might be nice to buy an extra hose but they give you

Great product but a little lack.

Outstanding system! Quality product at a good price! The only problem I have is that this system advertises the ability to run "small air tools" (I'm not sure I've ever seen "small air tools"), but you CAN default (? ) Use compressed air tools. There is now not enough air in the tank to run an air ratchet or percussion gun for more than a few seconds before the pressure drops too much and you have to wait for the compressor to refill the tank. Unfortunately, while the 450C will run almostโ€ฆ
