Didn't know if it would polish but figured it should as it was 304 stainless steel. You can easily achieve a mirror finish with fine sanding. Uses 304 stainless steel wire in MIG to weld homemade tips to Magnaflow stainless steel mufflers. Looks like a high end custom job after I removed the clip and welded on the mounting tab.

Package received, U bend adapter tube cut and welded. The welds looked weird, I didn't think anything of it. Further inspection shows that this steel attracts a magnet. In conclusion, I paid for the T304 and did not receive it. I don't know how this confusion comes about, but in this case it would cost several hundred dollars to fix. From now on I will check every piece of pipe with a magnet.
