I really like the release valve next to the dial. That way, if you over-inflate your tires, you can let some air out until it's just right. The pressure sensor is also fairly accurate. My wife and I each have one for our cars.

The item I received does not work at all and I know why. clockwise. There is a stopper for the arrow near "0" on the dial. But the arrow was (collected) on the stopper (before the sign "0" on the dial). I don't know, maybe this device showed us negative pressure. :)

Maybe it's better to use something else to only use once, so yes it worked long enough to make 8 hoops the first time, but not next time. Harbor Freight sells a similar one for $7, but I thought it was better quality than Harbor Freight.

I chose this gauge based on good 5 star reviews. So the sensor seems to be working properly, and the one I got might work properly if the needle was placed on the correct side of the zeroing pin.
