Great knife for the price.

Great knife for the price. Very sharp and does what it's supposed to. Clean, even, consistent cuts. Doesn't tear flesh and makes nice cuts for display. Overall durability and edge retention remains to be seen, but at this price I can afford to replace them.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Absolutely fantastic. I saw this knife in Cook Country.

Absolutely fantastic. I saw this knife in Cook Country - it won their test as best out of 8 knives. It cost $55 in Cookland, but Revane had a much better price. I bought one; and seeing how easily it cuts meat I ordered it for my son.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • No insurance

Buy what the pros buy.

I have been working for Victorinox professionally and privately for many years. They don't disappoint. This particular model is heavier than previous V-Slicers I've had. This appears to increase stability when slicing a fat-capped loin. I never miss an opportunity to tell people not to buy expensive "heirloom" knives, but buy what the pros buy. That's it.

Pros
  • Not cheap, but decent
Cons
  • May damage

This is a very sharp knife that cuts roasts very well. I've used it recently to cut ribs and the cuts were smooth and even. My only complaint is that the knife comes with no sheath or blade guard. I highly recommend finding it here on Amazon to keep the blade in good condition if you intend to keep this knife in a drawer.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Capacity

Love love love this knife!

I make my own bacon, looked at slicers and decided on this slicer, so glad I did! Once you get over the 7 inch blade the prices go up a bit and the pork belly is 10 inches and I like full cuts. You can also shred pork belly. It's a piece of bacon cut down the center of a hempler that's much denser than a smoked pork belly, and it cuts through like butter! I've tried tomatoes and other foods and I'm so glad I went this route! So, friends, bacon is a great knife for cutting pork stomachs!

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • retirement

You can also be a fruit ninja

I've had the knife for about a week and I'm very happy with it. He went through the rib roast, which I broke like a hot knife through butter. Tonight, however, he passed the final test. My 15 year old daughter tried to hit me with a bottle of salad dressing. So I pulled the 12" Victorinox Fibrox Pro Slicing Knife out of the rack and held it like a lightsaber. In response, she threw me an orange clementine. Guys, Fruit Ninja could be legit. I removed about 1/3 of the orange in one clean line…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine

THE THING!: Carving knife

My husband always complains about knives when it comes to the holidays. So I thought I'd try to find something special for him. After researching many electric knives, I came across this one. After reading the reviews and seeing the pictures I decided to try and give it a try. I was nervous, mostly because of the price, but everyone says they cut like butter. When we got it I still wasn't sure. The packaging made it look like a samurai sword. Written 12 inches but with a pen just over 17. Haha.

Pros
  • Stock
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

The best jerky knife/slicer I've ever used

Oh my god sharp so smooth even slices. High-protein, low-carb, and low-sugar snacks. If you've never tried fresh warm jerky, you're missing out on a real treat. Home cooking is cheaper than packaged brands and allows for a variety of meats and flavors (beef, chicken, pork, spicy, teriyaki). tough but not as strong as usual for the knife that came with my old slicing kit. The difference was like night and day, even cuts, no saws. The cuts were even, the blade didn't flex to leave uneven spots…

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
