🔌 Enhanced Bluetooth VE.Direct Smart Dongle by Victron Energy Review

I've had mixed results with the bluetooth dongle. When it works, it's amazing. But right now in the morning the blue light is constantly on and not working. It looks like it's connected, but it's not. I only connected it to my phone, no other device. It seems to have lost connection to my phone and now it seems to be stuck. I have set this button to not start the wired monitor. and the location of the 100/30 controller is such that I don't have easy access to it to unplug and plug in the dongle

Doesn't work with HQST MPPT with same connector in case anyone is interested. I knew it wasn't supposed to work, but I decided to take a risk and see if I could make it work. be heavier than that. I even rewired it to match the HQST wiring (power and ground were swapped), I didn't try swapping the data lines, I don't think it matters. So I got this because the Bluetooth range of the Victor Smart Shunt is very short (literally less than 5 feet with no obstruction). This connects and allows you to connect at a distance I would say 50-60 feet with no obstruction. I can easily connect even in the RV, so I can finally keep an eye on battery levels and solar panel performance. I shouldn't have bought this, but it solves the range problem. I know there is firmware and interface software, but it wouldn't cost that much if there was competition. So far, the display is anything but overwhelming.
