Not worth the hassle

This optical drive might work on some MACHINES but we had no luck with it on our MacBooks .Based on our own experience, it was not worth the hassle of returning it. The design seems quite flimsy..

Pros
  • None.
Cons
  • Ineffective, cheaply made.

5-star cheap, thin, sometimes works when he wants CD/DVD player

Part 2 - I may have been a bit harsh in the original review, although thin and cheap it feels so on works fine, suspend works properly now and it opens once you make sure the dvd player is visible to the computer in file explorer or device manager. The best way to open the player is to select the Eject option from the DVD Player menu in File Explorer. Part 1. Be careful when you try to open it, it might break! That is, if it opens at all. Don't try to pause and resume it as it gets really…

Pros
  • External components
Cons
  • Everything is fine
