New winter jacket for a 5 year old.

The grandson put on an expensive jacket - this is true to size and well tailored with no holes and made the grandson smile. He says it's nice and warm and the zipper works well.

The zipper broke on the second day of wearing.

The zipper broke on the second wear. It was quite warm and felt good in a Michigan winter when he was able to put it on. Love it nice jacket.

Great looks and best value for money but…

Great looks and best value, but... not durable. I bought two and one broke off the thrust and the second broke off the bottom button. Replaced it in accordance with the return policy. However, they are great for the price. I would really buy them again.

  • The flash didn't last long, I had to replace it with a metal flash.

  • The seam on the right pocket ripped and the zipper broke after 1 month of use.

The clasp on the neck doesn't work...

Okay, that's great, except the part of the velcro that connects to the hood isn't long enough. The hood just folds back and the snow falls on my little one's neck. My son is usually 4 years old and wears his size. So I have a feeling it's a design issue. The same coat I bought for my 12 year old has no problems.

Nice but not a hat

My son loves the coat but the hood won't stay on. And with the Iowa wind, what you really need is a hat that clicks well and stays on your child's head.

  • The jacket's heavy-duty insulation and questionable durability can make it difficult to wash and care for, which can shorten its lifespan and value for money.

Best to skip this coat in my review

I sent this coat back. It wasn't warm enough for a cold winter and I don't know what's on my chest! Oh yes, and fake bags! The zipper broke barely outside of the return window..

I am very disappointed with what I received and cannot recommend this Cora!

I bought this coat for my son thinking it would be a great jacket for winter but when I received it it turned out to be nothing more than a windbreaker! The price of this coat is waaay for the price and I am very very disappointed with what I received! Don't buy this coat!

  • I like everything, just wish the hood had a zipper instead of velcro.

  • This coat is garbage. If you live somewhere where temperatures drop below 45°F, don't take this jacket.

Good for semi cool weather

The hood fits very tight on my child's head and you can't even buckle it at the front. It definitely works a bit small and he's a little kid. Not very warm at 30 degrees

Good bye! -- my new rating

Good winter coat. Not too thick to make it difficult for my son to fit in the car seat. My only lag in the 5 star rating is the flash. I read some reviews that mentioned that zipping up is not easy and I had the same issue BUT the thickness of the coat was EXACTLY what I was looking for. My son can still move and play in it.

  • Flash too weak, poor quality not recommended for Chicago weather.

The hood is too tight in my opinion.

The coat is nice BUT try to close the hood tightly around the neck. My son complains that he feels like it's choking him. I would return it if I could but I washed it before wearing it.

Pros
  • Got this coat for a big child and it fits perfectly. If you want to wear layered baby clothes, you should choose one size larger.
Cons
  • Super cute and fits well. Too thin for a winter jacket. Great purchase for spring or fall.

Great jacket in every way!

I was skeptical because some reviews said this jacket was poorly made, but I bought it anyway and thought I could return it. I'm so glad I bought it! The jacket is very well sewn with strong zippers and seams. It's very warm but not too plump and my little one seems to stay dry even after over an hour of tobogganing. Front zip broke after 8 months

I bought this for my son who is 9 years old. I bought it in April and now it's December and the zipper on the front of the jacket is broken. And the seam of the hood is coming undone, which wouldn't bother me enough that I'd just fix it, but the broken front zip renders it useless. If I don't close it with a safety pin. Great winter coat, terrible hood.

I had problems with this review and how many stars to give this coat. When my son was five I bought him this coat from Wish for about the same price as here on Amazon.
