This works very well as a privacy filter, but only on the shiny side! I was hoping it would also work as a privacy filter if you use the matte side - if your eyes can't handle shine I'd probably try something else. I already wear special glasses and the glare of this filter is a bit harsh. Another plus is that it fits my monitor perfectly. First let me say that my 23.8" monitor is different than my laptop (15.5") and my first monitor (23") is different. I put them on and let's go!
