Working! My work computer had an ultra wide monitor but only had a display port output. A cheap adapter was used, but it wasn't active, so the full resolution wasn't available. Basically some stupid company bought ultrawide, but you couldn't use ultrawide resolution without stretching. In any case, use this and it will solve the problem.

The keyword when selecting this product is 'active'. I can't tell you how frustrated I was connecting two screens via HDMI. I bought a graphics card with an HDMI slot and a DisplayPort slot and a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. It will not work. After looking at tons of HDMI port adapters for displays, none of them would push high resolution. I literally almost gave up after buying another one without setting it to 2560x1080. This is in addition to three 1920 x 1080 displays in surround mode.
