Finally a cable that works

works to convert a cable from a computer to use a UHD TV and display in 4k. I think only 2 cables can achieve this. This is one of them

Big! This block was the best I have.

Excellent! This unit was the best I bought as I have 2 4k monitors and my PC only has one HDMI port and one display port which solves my connectivity issues.

  • New
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

If you have an ultra wide monitor with HDMI but only DP output

Working! My work computer had an ultra wide monitor but only had a display port output. A cheap adapter was used, but it wasn't active, so the full resolution wasn't available. Basically some stupid company bought ultrawide, but you couldn't use ultrawide resolution without stretching. In any case, use this and it will solve the problem.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Almost OK

The keyword when selecting this product is 'active'. I can't tell you how frustrated I was connecting two screens via HDMI. I bought a graphics card with an HDMI slot and a DisplayPort slot and a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. It will not work. After a while I called NVIDIA who recommended an "active" adapter - problem solved!

Worked for a few days - now Red Dot Mesh

I was very excited when I received the adapter and hooked it up from my 1070 to my LG 34UM61. The 2560 x 1080 resolution looked great and I was happy. My 1070 has one HDMI port and two DisplayPort ports. HDMI is used with my Oculus Rift and I only have one display port for my new monitor. It worked the first time and I was beaming that there was a solution. And today, almost a week after receiving it, it does not work - red dotted grid. Be weary as it works well for some and has worked for me…

Actually pushes high resolutions

After looking at tons of HDMI port adapters for displays, none of them would push high resolution. I literally almost gave up after buying another one without setting it to 2560x1080. I found this on a forum from other people trying to push high resolutions and it works amazing. It's a bit pricey but works great and now both my monitors are showing 2560 x 1080. I would recommend it for 4K transmission and don't worry about having to sift through tons of product descriptions to see if another…

IS WORKING! :-D: Accessories and supplies

This active adapter worked when other active adapters didn't work. I'm using it on a GTX 1050ti to send video to two @2560x1080 displays via an active HDMI splitter. This is in addition to three 1920 x 1080 displays in surround mode. If you're using multiple monitors and just can't figure out why you might be temporarily losing signal on one or more monitors - AND you have an active adapter in your system (but everything else works): you may be out of sync. This adapter fixed it for me too. The

Just what I needed

I use an IOGear HDMI KVM switch to switch between two work laptops, a personal laptop and a desktop computer. One of the work laptops is an old HP with only a DisplayPort output. Before I bought this device, I was using a passive DisplayPort to HDMI adapter that caused my HP laptop screen to turn on and off every few minutes. I had to connect my HP laptop to the monitor's second input and switch from there, defeating the whole purpose of KVM. With this active DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, I can…
