Strong arm used for your monitor

To be honest I initially had a bit of trouble getting the arm hydraulics to work and almost wanted to return the product until I came across instructions for a similar arm, in which it was described how to increase and decrease hydraulic pressure. After I finally put some effort into turning the hex screw in the right direction, the hand immediately came to life and seemed to be able to hold anything. Luckily, I'm just installing an old 25-inch widescreen monitor that's maybe 10 pounds (15…

Terrible design, poor quality control. Stay Away

I put the thing back in the box within an hour of installing it. Terrible combination of poor design choices and quality control/assembly errors (from a mechanical engineer's point of view) The assembler over-torqued every joint, making arm movement impossible without standing up and using two hands. I even applied WD40 to no avail. The table clamp moves before I can rotate my arms. Good luck loosening those connections, one of them is not accessible after installation, no tools are supplied…

Absolutely great product!

I bought this stand for a new monitor that I also recently bought, a 24 inch ASUS LCD monitor. I already had another monitor stand from VIVO, but not this one. I was a little curious how much this would really help. Let's just say SUPER IMPRESSIVE! 5 stars all day! I love it! I almost regret not having bought this type of monitor stand sooner. Installation was easy. The stand comes 90% assembled. You literally just have to attach the mount to the monitor, insert it into the stand mount which…

It's ok but read reviews first

I read the other reviews before purchasing and found the same issues and benefits. I installed a 34" UW monitor on it and it ended up standing up well and could swivel to a vertical position (floating above the board). Problems identified were the as-received connections being too tight or too loose. In particular, the swivel at the base is a rivet that is so tight that turning the lever left or right moves the clip along the board to which it is attached. You will need to disassemble the clip…

Samsung Odyssey G7 32 inch

I have used 4 different monitor swing arms (of which I had 2 prior to purchasing the monitor) and they have all struggled to hold the weight of my Samsung Odyssey G7 despite claims of the weight too deal with. Where these previous monitor arms failed wasn't the gas springs, but a hinge that attaches directly to the monitor. Even though the monitor came up at the correct height, all of those hinges couldn't hold the monitor forward and it just kept leaning down no matter how hard I tried to…

Quality Stand: Computer Accessories & Peripherals

Let's start by saying that the metal of the stand is durable and strong. The included gear is also made of thick steel and will not crack, bend or break. Assembling and installing the monitor on the table was easy enough, but I got what some of the one star reviews said. The up and down tilt tension just doesn't keep the monitor upright. The front of the monitor leaned further towards the table. No matter how I put it on, over time it started to sag. However, I managed to fix it. I disassembled

Great Stand - Monitor Accessory

I finally settled on this mount after seeing negative reviews on every monitor mount/stand I could find. I decided it was better to use metal to reduce shaking and better protect my rather expensive Zowie monitor. I am very happy with my purchase, it has freed up a lot of desk space compared to the thick stand that came with my monitor. I don't actually move my monitor at all, but I was able to place it exactly where I need it and just leave it there. It was pretty easy to set up, even for…

Now if you want to save a ton of time and frustration you should read this review BEFORE ASSEMBLY. I've been through it all, now I'm just trying to help the homies. Skip to the ASSEMBLY section of this review if you've already purchased this somewhat pesky monitor arm. OVERVIEW: The metal has a matte finish and is slightly textured to the touch (see images). Light marks/scratches can easily be left on this metal, but they can be rubbed off. Pretty hard. Is it called aluminum? I am not sure. It…
