I have 2 - 2007 MDX (one for my son) and need spare keys for both. Bought two and called a local mobile locksmith who said he cut Acura keys. He went ahead, cut and programmed both for $95 each. I highly recommend!

I got this for a 2008 Acura MDX. Thanks to this key fob and some videos, Driver 1 is available in my car again. It came with a battery, so not only did I have to program the key fob for my SUV, I also had to swap the cut key for an uncut one. You don't have to go to the key store. Thanks very much!

I took the key to the dealer to have it cut and it was fine but the key is NOT PROGRAMMABLE at all. Don't waste your hard earned money on this nonsense. YOU ARE WARNED. This is nothing more than a one-time item that only opens the door. It will not program the car to start. And key programming is so easy.

I have a 2008 mdx with 2 key fobs that don't work. Spoke to locksmiths and an Acura dealer looking for anywhere from $400-$700 to get new keys/fobs. Found them on Amazon and just replaced the button part of the remote with the old fobs (keeping the actual key part of the original fob), programmed them and they work great. Follow Instructions. I had to repeat this process twice because it didn't work the first time (operator error I'm sure) and then did it for the second fob and they both work great. Instead of cutting out new keys, I took the newly programmed guts and placed them in the cases of my old key fobs. They match my original 2009 Acura RDX key fobs exactly.

finally bought a new key to program and ended up using it as a shell. It's definitely worth it for my car. have been following various tutorial videos online for my 20122 acura tl and still haven't even programmed enough to unlock the doors. You just had to buy cheaper for the projectile. Decent weight quality and hard to replace, the original key, programmed card and all that crap but I think it works as my lock and unlock buttons were faded so that was all I needed.

Works great. (Except for the trunk/tailgate knob. But for the price you pay, that's to be expected). I'm just glad we have additional keychains that work.
