Volant 15253 Cool Air Intake Review

Easy install. It took about 30 minutes. I can hear and feel the difference in the engine. I suggest you get rid of the stock exhaust if you want to feel the full improvement of this technique.

Installed on my 2007 Yukon XL SLT 5.3L engine. The unit improved overall gas mileage (about 1.5mpg), the power increase was noticeable under acceleration, and the engine sounded smoother. I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants a clean look and doesn't have the added expense of buying air filters every 10,000 miles. Cleaning the filter is just a wash.

Far from ideal. The main intake pipe just got to the right spot on the MAF. The breathing tube that came with it was too short. I ended up just hooking it up to the stock vent hose. It looks great installed and definitely added some throttle response so it's definitely worth getting. I installed it in about ten minutes but I've done a few tricks over the year so it was very easy for me. A couple of clamps, 4 screws and a box will pop out. Very easy to install I was afraid I would fail. There were almost no instructions. However, all I needed was when I started. The performance was more than I expected. I am very happy with my decision to purchase the product. I wish I had bought a shovel at the same time. It would be easier to do everything at once.
