Much easier to install than my 2000 Silverado and looks great. UPDATE: I got about 1-2 mpg but the truck developed a 2-3 shift flare. I read to find out that the TCM uses the Maf readings to control the output torque. After installing the factory intakes, the flare disappeared. I'll reinstall when it's time to set up the truck.

Of all (4) air intakes I've installed on my previous cars (kn, air raid, special car zone, another air raid). This has to be the greatest achievement I've had with just a bolt-on product. It looks and sounds great. It took me 25 minutes to uninstall the old one and install this one. I've made several of these and they are easy. Most people can do the installation. The only problem I had was a hole was in the wrong place so I had to drill a new one in a plastic box no one would ever see it but for $260. It has to be right. I have all the installation tools and more so this was an easy fix, overall it was a good buy and if I had to do it again I would buy it.

I received the kit but it is missing the rubber grommet to connect the air hose to the throttle body. Also, the airbox holes did not match the existing mounting holes on the truck. I had to modify a hole to make it work and remove the old grommet from my stock air intake and glue it to the fly tube to make it work for now. I hope they send me the missing bushing and a new air hose. Installation would be easy if all parts were included and if the mounting holes were in the right places.

The air intake system is made of thick material. All parts are well matched and look very nice in the engine compartment. This system isn't the most expensive product on the market, but it's worth it. I bought another system from Specter and it was less money but also a low quality product. I was glad to buy a product made in the USA that didn't cost as much as a K&N set. I thought I had found the perfect set. When it was delivered it looked very good in the box. Stable plastic case, like K&N. However, I noticed that only 3 of the 4 mounting holes are aligned during assembly (see photo). I researched this item thoroughly before ordering and am glad I did. The quality of the product is great, the instructions were very helpful (including pictures) and the customer service is fantastic. My kit arrived with the wrong size filter. I called the company directly and they were with me everywhere. Apparently it was a simple mistake when someone bought a 5" filter instead of a 6" filter.
