🚀 Enhanced Performance Volant 15553 Pro 5 Enclosed Air Intake System Review

This is my third purchase of a Volant intake manifold. Excellent fit and finish as usual. The closed Hi Flow design is unbeatable. Quiet when cruising but opens up and makes a great sound when you step on the gas. Couldn't be happier.

Price didn't convince me at all Doesn't fit that well and looks very bad I'm a mechanic by trade the lid doesn't seal the pre-drilled holes Line up and the molded plastic is very bad and the Customer service is far from equal, save yourself and buy and secure

This system actually uses an OEM fresh air intake in the fender as well as an opening under the OEM filter base plate. While this filter block is closed, it removes hot underhood air by drawing in cooler air from the OE fender vent and bringing in cooler air from the front of the vehicle.

I bought this air intake and immediately noticed that throttle response was better. However, my truck has an AFM system and the hum from that intake is terrible. Noisy in the cabin every time you press the gas pedal. I have a dual exhaust, and the rumble from the intake was a lot more stressful than the exhaust. Couldn't resist and sent the item back.

As stated in another review, the airbox does not match the inner fender fresh air intake at all. There is a noticeable gap. One wonders why such an expensive thing. The factory box is even sealed! Strange. I have an email for Volant so we'll see what they say. Everything else worked great. Great sound at full load and not too loud at idle. However, you can hear this when AFM is turned on for some reason. Acceptance is noticeably better. MPG fell as expected. More air requires more fuel. If…

Great product! Got this for my 2018 Silverado 5.3L. Easy to install, more throttle responsive and sounds great. During normal driving at normal speed, you may not hear any difference in sound until you step on it with your foot. Sounds very good at high revs on the gas. Nice and quiet when cruising. If I had seen the guy's feedback on the installation problem I would NOT have bought it. manufactured to something that does not provide a good cold air seal. I mean a factory box, sealed and even foamed so only cool air gets in. With this cold air box, it doesn't fit well on the heel of the wing and doesn't form a seal around it. Also, it has massive ventilation in the front which I don't think is needed and another reason why it really only gets cold air. There is no cold air flow behind the…

I bought it in December 2018. a dent about 1/2" down the seam, and the airbox didn't fit against the fender (about a 1" gap). This is for the 2018 Chevy Silverado cockpit. I contacted the company in early January, filled out a form and sent photos. I didn't hear anything until March when I was told a new cover was coming with screws and that I could just add my own duct to connect the airbox and fender, but a gap shouldn't be a problem.
