🦜 Super Parrot Bird Food Seed Mix by Volkman Avian Science Review

My afro scooter LOVES it. He is very picky about food. I've tried all kinds of pet food for him. He chose the shelled peanuts and threw the rest out of the bowl. I read the reviews about it and decided to give it a try. I bought it along with Volkman Seeds and Nuts. I put a little of each in his bowl. He eats almost anything without much waste. Only mussels and leftovers remained in the bowl. So happy with this item. I know he will get healthier and this will help him live his 60+ years!

I've fed my gray parrot every brand of quality seed and food imaginable, including a special seed mix that can only be purchased from a local groomer and bird trainer who makes expensive home visits. Somehow this seems to be his favorite. What he did with other, more technically sound brands was just sort through them and only eat the varieties of seeds and nuts that he liked. About a month ago I switched from Abba Parrot to this Volkmans blend for my 30 year old B&G. One of the reasons was the loss of quality and the difficulty of finding a fair price for Abba. First of all, I wanted the lower fat content of the light-colored sunflower seed as it ages. I would like to emphasize that the seed mix should not normally make up more than 25% of the bird's diet. I have tried different seed mix brands but found a lot of waste = the bird doesn't eat much of what is in the mix eg different pellets (Tropican), colored flavored pellets and many different small seeds. Me and especially my CAG (Congo African Grey) like it. The packaging is excellent with a zip top closure. I have a plastic container that I keep my bird seed in so I opened the bag and poured the whole bag into the container. The first thing I noticed is that there is NO DUST! It's good. There is a wide variety of this product and most parrot mixes I see do not contain food coloring. The quality is evident as soon as you see and feel the bag.
