The 50A power cord is very heavy and bulky. That is a big help. Allows the use of a 30A power cord when only 30A is needed. A 30 amp power cord weighs less than half that of a 50 amp cord.

We rarely use our 50Amp fifth wheel cable. Mainly because it's so big and heavy and we don't need it as we have a second air conditioner, but we don't really need a 50 amp connection. This adapter works perfectly and gives you a nice 90 degree angle to the camper, unlike adapters that have a lanyard attached. The item looks good and has held up well so far.
