I tried so many phone mounts before I found this one. The Jeep's vents aren't sturdy enough to attach clips, and the hand mounts were annoying. This bad boy doesn't move me and doesn't distract me from the road. The installation took literally 2 minutes. My only complaint is that the tray doesn't have a handle, so everything inside is slippery and a bit noisy. So I just put tape on the handles inside.

Installed last night and I think it's great. The view during recording is no longer obstructed. I haven't traveled with him yet to see how he holds up, but it will happen today. It arrived quickly and was very easy to install. I love that it fits my Galaxy Note 10+ 5G including the replacement seat case. The phone in the photos is an S8+ with a case as I used the Note to take the photos. It's great to drive.

I like that my huge phone fits in this stand! I have an iPhone XS Max with a large case and pop socket and had no trouble getting it into the holder. This holder was easy to install and I love that it attaches to an existing screw. I just want the included tray to be like my factory rubber and snap or stick. It just sits there and rattles a little. Plus, it's well made and should last a long time!

The original base you replace in the dash storage compartment is made of rubber and stays in place by locking around a ledge built into the dash. The base that comes with this kit is hard plastic and doesn't lend itself at all. Also, it's slightly smaller than your original gum base. Therefore it will not snap into the JKU 2018 as the plastic cannot form around the rim. I didn't risk it because there's nothing worse than a rattling noise while driving. Recently purchased a 2013 Jeep Wrangler 2-Door Sport. I've been looking for a phone holder in stores and online. There really is no way to attach a mount to a Jeep without gluing, taping or drilling. I finally came across the ones that used a screw under the dash. Take out the tray, take out the screw and use the screw to hold the new bracket. However, they seemed expensive at $70 or more. Exactly as ordered. I put this in my wife's jku 2017 and she loves it. Comes with 3 pieces, no instructions. If you can't figure out how to install it, you probably shouldn't be driving. The mount is solid and hardly vibrates, no need to over tighten, it's plastic and the mount screw (original on the jeep) will crack the base if you do. The stand part is cheap and it seems like if it fails it will be where it connects the stand to the base, but as long as you don't over-tighten it you should be
