These are genuine Vornado replacement filters. You need both to completely replace carbon filters. Replacement is easy and takes less than 5 minutes - unplug the unit, remove the faceplate, remove the plastic grille, replace the filters and reattach the grille and faceplate. Press and hold the Change Charcoal Filter button on the machine until the light goes out. Plug in the machine and start again.

Premium Carbon Filters. I actually use them as a pre-filter for other HEPA air filters by cutting them to size. The Sears Kenmore filter doesn't have high quality carbon pre-filters, so I make my own. They work well in a house with two cats and a lot of dust. Not only do you need a regular filter, you also need a carbon filter. This eliminates odors and keeps the circulated air fresh and clean. It also helps extend the life of the other filter as it is the first line that catches dust, hair and other particles.
