I have two Vornado units and they clean the air very well. After the initial purchase, replacement filters and activated carbon filters are a big expense. Not only do you need a regular filter, you also need a carbon filter. This eliminates odors and keeps the circulated air fresh and clean. It also helps extend the life of the other filter as it is the first line that catches dust, hair and other particles. If you continue to work, I recommend taking it out monthly and dusting the outside so it doesn't affect performance. Usually 4 to 6 months is enough for me. court
