Very durable for hunting and fishing

I like the thickness of my car window. I add a custom mosquito net for the window and sunroof. This is important for a good picture of the moon.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Protection

Good window mount for hunting and fishing

This is a good window mount but if they added a detachable mount like a tripod where you could switch from the window mount to the tripod and back it would be 100% better .

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Solid but not for binoculars

Gray for spotting scope. Does not work with tripod binoculars due to grip position. Would have been 5 stars if I hadn't planned on using binoculars with a tripod on this one.

Pros
  • Like everything else
Cons
  • not reliable

Good but not the best spotting scope

Hard to believe this was made by or for Vortex. You should be ashamed to call it by its name. It works. But the rotation is jerky, not smooth unless you loosen the grip much. I would return or exchange but I waited too long.

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • Factor set

The best car window clamp for spotting scopes.

I have 3 window clips including the Vortex I just bought. The Vortex clamp is by far the best and I would buy another one. The only thing is, it's strong enough, I don't need to buy another one. Stays in place with no damage or marks on your window. Excellent clamp.

Pros
  • Nice View
Cons
  • Repair

easy to adjust, sits firmly on the disc

Went to Klamath pool to watch winter birds (thousands). Most of the time we were out and about in our Sprinter. Using this mount with our 88mm Kowa made the perfect pairing for a bird's eye view. Works well, easy to adjust, fits snugly on window, easy to detach and reattach on the other side. Perfect for our needs.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Quality

Solid - well made

I have recently ordered two well reviewed window mounts for use with scopes and without a doubt this is my first choice. It's bigger, the grip on the window is bigger, and its control is smoother. Of course, the craftsmanship of Vortex optics was also used for this window attachment. As one of my scopes weighs over 2.5kg, the larger size makes this mount more comfortable to use - and once tightened it stays in place. It is unfortunate that the images of all these products were not taken side by

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Too blunt

Great pendant, very durable.

This should work great with my Vortex 85mm spotting scope this year. There seems to be very strong window clips, a horizontal pan and a vertical pan movement. The metal is very strong and heavy, not flimsy at all. The button on the side is a bit difficult to turn with gloves on, but thin gloves are fine. Someone else said they wish they had an adapter to go from that window mount to a tripod mount. Like all things, there are accessories. I use a Manfrotto liquid head with a QR plate so I use…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Vulgarity
