Unexpectedly Impressive

I'm not a big fan of reviews as many people have different opinions on how things work, look etc. However, I have Swarovski 15X56 binoculars so I have a good basis for comparison. My Swarovskis are a bit big for archery but they are great binoculars for rifle hunting so I needed a quality pair for archery. I chose the 10X42 Vipers as a good medium matte lens. I got way more than I expected. It's very unexpected. clear, sharp and most importantly easy to collect, I am very impressed and would…

Pros
  • High-density optical system delivers exceptional resolution and edge-to-edge clarity. The anti-reflective XR lens coating ensures a bright, full image even in low light conditions.

89% Swarovski elements!

It was at the Edwin B Orphanage in Jersey for a day. was on a platform overlooking the pond. Another limit of the ordering experience came to me and we got talking. He had a pair of Swarovski 10X42s worth $2500 and I asked him to look at my new binoculars. he looked at them and said wow! It's really bright and clear! I asked Home if I could take a look. The only difference I could see was that Swarovski had no edge-to-edge blur. but more than 4 times the price of my vipers, i was very happy…

nothing special: binoculars and rifle scope

These are ordinary cheap binoculars with a higher price. I compared them side-by-side with a pair of Bushnell Bone Collector binoculars I bought for $100 (before the $30 rebate) and the differences between them were so minimal that they were hardly worth mentioning. The vipers were a bit brighter. there was no noticeable difference in image sharpness. Bushnels are best used with goggles as the Viper has a raised rubber ring on the eyepiece that limits how far you can get to the lenses. This…

Pros
  • In the field, you should be able to easily take it with you at all times thanks to the included Glass Pak chest strap for comfortable, secure and stress-free carrying throughout the day.
Cons
  • Available in black only.

Good but not as good as my Diamondback HD

I just got my Viper HD 10x42 and have spent the last 3 hours sitting outside and convincing myself that it is better than my Diamondback HD 10x42. Unfortunately, I don't see any significant improvements. I'll start by believing that you get what you pay for and that quality doesn't come cheap. I value quality and am willing to pay extra for it. I'm an amateur photographer and have thousands of dollars on fast f/2.8 pro lenses. I understand the importance of quality glass in a lens. The Viper HD
