Cute toy for 2 year old

Got this as a birthday present for my 1 year old son because he loves our laptop. He was a bit young to play games but he liked pressing buttons and making noises. Now he's two years old and it's helping him learn the letters so I'm a fan. The backlight is dim so you can't see the screen in a dark room, but I do it because my eyes overall can't effort, it's a cute toy!

Good concept we didn't take our little one

We may not have been persistent enough to get this toy for our little ones but they never really showed much interest in the 18 months we've had it shown and we just gave away. It seems much more appropriate for a 3 to 4 year old who knows his letters and has some concentration to follow directions. Unfortunately, in our 3-year-old age, they have long looked like iPads with much more attractive graphics and programs.

Outdated and not worth the money.

In the age of cheap smartphones and tablets, this toy is outdated and not worth the money. The black and white LCD screen is very small and dark. There are many games and activities programmed into this toy laptop, but they are not very fun or challenging for children under 2 years old. Children from 3 years old will get bored and prefer to play on a tablet/iPhone that offers the best apps and videos. I love the concept, but when there are $100 Kindle tablets for kids, it's very hard to…

Fails and keeps ticking

Bought for my 15 month old grandson. He loves the movable mouse (although I wish it could be detached too) and the character and modes it has. He is a very active boy and often uses this laptop as a "stepping chair" to get things done. Despite the way he handles the laptop, it has never broken or stopped working. I love this laptop! That will last him for a long time with all the different levels and games. Highly recommended. While I will say he may be a bit young for this toy, I'm glad I…

Cute toy for kids

I like buying toys for my kids. Since my daughter is obsessed with all of my technology, I thought this would make a great addition to her toy collection. She is already 20 months old and finds this toy very funny. My daughter loves that it's loud, she can't play games but loves to turn it on and off and play with the mouse. The reason I gave the toy four stars is because the screen is small and black and white. I want the screen to have more colors and be bigger so the kid can see it better…

Good product with unresponsive support

LeapFrog vs VTech dispute and chose VTech for personalization. First, the screen is too dark for children (or even children). adults) to see what's going on. The sounds are good and there are many interesting features when connecting to a laptop and downloading various materials. HOWEVER, the cable is not included and is sold at Revain for $5.99, which sucks. In other words, the price is $25.98 instead of $19.99 if you don't have a cable jack. Also, there is an issue with setting the child's…

Love VTech Educational Electronic Toy

My daughter was 11 months old when I bought this little VTech laptop. She loves using our electronics so I decided to give her something of my own and VTech has always been our favorite brand. This laptop did not disappoint. It's very interactive and although my daughter didn't quite understand the games, she loves listening to the characters talking and the sounds made when the keys are pressed on the keyboard. In my opinion the laptop is ideal for older toddlers around the age of 2 who can…
