In the end I liked this small and compact instrument. Bought this for my niece (25 months) and she was able to easily carry it around and play with it all Christmas morning pretending to feed and put him to bed.

The "interactive" part of this toy is very disappointing. It's a bunch of buttons that make noise. They are not interesting, the music is bad, the lyrics are stupid, only the letters "abc" and only the numbers "1234". So not much is learned. The dog itself is like a cheap $5 stuffed animal. Better buy a nicer stuffed animal and some pet accessories and save yourself the headache of listening to nonsense. Our little one doesn't like noise either. She just plays with the dog.

Should be a present. I see that this seller is out of stock. Arrived yesterday afternoon. The dog had to be dried. The toy was obviously dirty and the eye was scratched on the packaging - see photo! It is "new in the box" but was either used or badly stored before shipping. All my experiences with VTech toys so far have been great. The toy itself looks cute. illuminated; plays songs, counts. it's cute, age appropriate. I'm still not sure if I'll try to act before Christmas or maybe attract…

This toy is very cute but I have to agree with other reviewers who said they could think more about what the kennel says when you press the buttons, But my daughter is only 1 year old and doesn't care what exactly he says so I still gave it 5 stars even though he could have said more and the voice could have been different. lol all the accessories are cute the dog is really adorable wanted to know the disappointment free packaging i found out is just a regular brown revain box almost containing
