TERRIBLE QUALITY / COSMETICS

These phones were purchased two months ago and all the ink letters around the volume button have been washed away, the numbers 1 and 2 have faded, the main screen and volume control screen have also faded Note: the volume and screen of the control panel are yellow and foggy - NOT dirty. I bought VTech phones from Radio Shack over 7 years ago and the quality of the phone has been great! However, I can't say that about a phone that's only two months old. Needless to say these newer models were…

Recharges MAX 35-45 minutes no matter how long it has been in base

Recharges MAX 35-45 minutes no matter how long it has been in base. I've had this phone for about a year or so. Has not held a charge since purchase. It sounds good when you play it and it has a decent range, both of those things aren't an issue. But regardless of whether you leave this thing charging all night, the battery will last more than a long phone call. He's dying so fast. Also, if you charge it all night and use it for a quick phone call but forget to put it back in the base, by the…

Ideal for a small family!

We needed a simple replacement for our old cordless home phones and decided to give them a try as they had so many positive reviews. And I'm glad we did! Setup was easy and took no more than 5 minutes. The phone's appearance is large and very intuitive, we didn't need any instructions other than setting the date and time. We have a small 1800 square foot house and I have walked through every corner of our home and never gone out of reach. In fact, I can still talk easily in our garage and…

Nice cordless phone

I bought this phone to replace a 2.4Ghz cordless phone that was interfering with our wifi. This phone doesn't bother you at all and doesn't pick up any sounds from the WiFi either. I'm used to pressing the green talk button when I'm called. I agree that it would be nice to have a switch that automatically connects when the ringing phone is removed from the base. But now that we have caller ID from our phone company, I'm getting used to seeing the incoming caller's number before I hit the talk…

Worst landline phone I've ever had!

I bought this phone because a reputable website recommended it as the best cheap phone. Now I have lost faith in this site. This is without a doubt the worst land line I have ever had. When dialing numbers, the buttons go under the case. Feels very cheap and uncomfortable. When a number is pressed there is a delay before you hear the accompanying "beep". This is very annoying and slows down the speed at which you can enter numbers. The writing on the LCD screen is very small and the backlight…

I am very happy that I bought this set!

Ignore the negative reviews! I almost gave up buying this two phone set based on what I now see as undeserved negative reviews it has received. I'm really glad I gave this kit a chance to show me what it can do! I like its features: Two cordless phones are included, but only the main unit needs access to a modular phone jack. The secondary unit only requires an electrical outlet and automatically connects to the modular connector of the main unit. The screen lights up with an incoming call in a

The sound is ok, clipped

Seems like VTech tried to invest in the wrong place. As a result, a phone that could have been very good has become marginal compared to similarly priced phones. When VTech works like this, do double check to get what you expect from their products. Let me give you some examples. That worries me a lot. Their product description states that they will notify you when you receive a voicemail. Comparable products from AT&T and Panasonic did this for my purchase (please check today) based on both…
