We bought these to replace an old VTech set we had and as usual set up was a breeze! They arrived in perfect shape and work exactly as they should. Apart from 3 handsets and an answering machine, we didn't need any special features. We got exactly what we needed. The range is about 70 feet through some walls, which is pretty damn good. I expect the range to be much greater with no walls or other obstacles. We have not received any complaints about any of the VETCH products we have purchased. We

Unlike many other reviewers, I had no issues with the sound quality or range. However, my problem is the battery life. Even new and fully charged batteries discharge quickly. When I found this to be the case, I ordered new batteries for all five portables that were in my pack and they also performed very poorly. We bought this pack to replace three of our existing V-Tech phones and were hoping to be able to just use the phones as we already have our chargers. However, unlike phones that you can buy separately, they are already paired with the control base they come with.
